BIO 287 - Field Studies in Plant Ecology II4 credits
Prerequisite(s): BIO 286 or permission of instructor These courses are an introduction to plants in selected communities. Identification, sampling, and collecting techniques are emphasized. These courses consist of laboratory and field exercises which expose students to unique ecosystems like the Smoky Mountains in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Chihuahuan Desert of Big Bend National Park in western Texas.
Note: Course may be used in Area V for AS/AA degrees
