BIO 286 - Field Studies in Plant Ecology4 credits
Prerequisite(s): BIO 103 or permission of instructor These courses are an introduction to plants in selected communities. Identification, sampling, and collecting techniques are emphasized. These courses consist of laboratory and field exercises which expose students to unique ecosystems like the Smoky Mountains in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Chihuahuan Desert of Big Bend National Park in western Texas
Note: Course may be used in Area V for AS/AA degrees
