Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Technology

The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration curriculum is designed to help the student develop an understanding of the basic principles involved in the construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of climate control equipment. Courses include the theory and practical application of information and techniques needed to prepare the individual for success in the trade. The air conditioning and refrigeration technician installs, maintains, services, and repairs environmental control systems in residences, department and food stores, office buildings, industries, restaurants, institutions, and commercial establishments. Job opportunities exist with companies that specialize in air conditioning, heating, and commercial refrigeration installation and service.
